Consent-O-Matic addon for Firefox makes it very easy. Its not perfect, but it works so well that every time it doesnt work, I sort of stare at the screen, waiting for it to do its thing, for a good 10-15 seconds, before snapping out of it and realising I need to do something.

Same. "What is this thing I am presented with, this is not the content I came here for? ... Oh right, cookies."

I installed that thing on my dad's laptop. 8 months later he calls me up and says that theres some weird window asking him to accept something. I thought it was something worse, so put on my shoes and walked over to his place, opened the laptop and... it was a cookie prompt lol.

In his defense, it was in English and he doesnt really understand English very well. But goes to show how great consent-o-matic works, heh.
