They probably need the money to pay for their AI-based "fact-checking":

A new and notable feature is the automated fact-checking tool, a Gemini-based “veracity engine for real-time analysis” (“Vera” for short), which runs on every tweet.

Using a technology that's known for making shit up, for fact-checking, is so dumb, but it will probably bring in investors because AI.

Do they expect everything posted to be just news and information that can be fact-checked? Is this AI going to fact-check my opinions and shitposts too?

The homepage feels like AI slop too.
