I actually had to turn it off halfway through and then revisit it the next day in the daylight. My wife asked "are you scared?" and I was like "not really scared, just deeply unsettled."

Yeah, it's really not scary at all, the premise is just so silly. But the execution is so morbid and handled with such attention to detail as to drive it home anyway.

SpoilerThe way Bear ends up dying in what is basically a reenactment of the way his cat dies at the beginning of the film, with him taking the cat's place, and Nikki taking his place... Jesus. What even do I do with this? I guess the magic behind the One Wish Willow is omnipotent, or otherwise able to tap into Bear's private memories to torture him to his last breath? Anyway, what the fuck... Gotta hand it to whoever came up with all that.
