If you were to tell me some game dev is releasing a 4 player split screen fps, I would be on board. I haven't had that much fun since screen cheat.
There are loads of local 4 players games, not always split screen though.
There definitely are plenty of them. But nearly all the ones I know are 5+ years old.
The vast vast vast majority of the best things on the world (including games) are 5+ years old.
