The future is terrifying. How many years before ice has those things chasing people down in the streets?

Never. There's absolutely no need to use humanoid robots for that, other form factors would be much more efficient.

I wanna say it was a dynamics robot that was awkwardly jogging because of an unbalanced load. Stopped. Got on all 4 and ran off WAY faster (50-60kph) up a rocky hill.they basically said going bipedal was really just to comfort the people around it.

Next step is centaurs, four legs AND hands free to choke people.

Why stop there? Let's give it some tentacles!

This is your fault, I plead insanity.

Digital black and white drawing by me, of a robot centaur, essentially. Its lower body is one of those robot dogs with four spindly legs. Its upper body is the bulky upper body of a robot with two arms. It also has robotic tentacles protruding from its back. I'm very sorry for the mental image I have inflicted on you.

The reality is bipeds are poor designs for robots, the better design would be something close to arachnids. But Boston dynamics know they need to sell robots to society, so it's cute dance videos and dog like robots while they figure out how to strangle you efficiently.
