I can’t tell you the number of jobs I’ve done where I built completely privacy preserving services that perform just as well as big tech invasive options.

They don’t need all that data, it has zero real payoff in ad targeting or attribution that a good statistical model can’t match.

Can you elaborate? How do you target ads without knowledge about the user?

You don’t need to, usually the content the ad is paired with is good enough.
