Eveything else in the world has gone to shit, why not GTA?
GTA was always shit.
P.S. Ok, ok... 1st and 4th weren't actually shit, but were nothing special too.
3 was revolutionary, Vice City was solid... I kind of lost interest after that, but the GTA games were all well received and their single-player campaigns were well done, though Rockstar absolutely did soak their online players.
It might not be your cup of tea, but they were trying to provide value to the players. The question is if GTA6 will be an highly enshittified cash grab like everything else has become.
Really? I very much enjoyed 5 and San Andreas (except that stupid train mission).
