Leave it off to give myself some additional cognitive space. If my battery saver kicks on I start paying more attention, or if I see a chunk a missing I know I should probably set to charge later.

On iOS if you swipe down, the “full status bar” has the percentage either way

No number, but a long indicator bar that has good resolution to show it go down proportionally. Works well for the EV car. Works well for the phone. Works better for my monkey brain to appear like a fuel gauge without a number.

Everyone's so concerned about the percentage, why not have the numbers be how much time it has left on the charge if we're so information pilled.
