The cynical part of me thinks that there is a different reason for implementing this, and that any bot that drives engagement is valuable to the platform owners.
My LiveJournal account is 25 years old as of last week. I’m just going to go back to that for social media.
What are they gonna do, accuse me of being too old for social media?
I went back to fark.com and I’m so happy it’s still doing well.
"well" is up to debate. Ugly like heck, tabular DOM and lot's of content-security-policy errors.
