By the time Americans are trying alcohol for the first time, some of us are straight up alcoholics and have been trying to quit for several years.
It's not hard to get liquor as a teen in the US and it's underground. I was drinking too vomiting just about every weekend throughout highschool. I doubt that's going on as much with a 5% lager in a pub, and I don't see clubs tolerating it that much.
I'd be interested in seeing numbers on which produce more alcoholics. Coming from the latter, the former would have been much safer and better overall🤷♂️.
