I'm a stickler for security but any time I mention concerns even to project owners and seasoned engineers I only get vacant stares. Don't trust anything cloud to keep your data safe. Nobody cares.

It's not so much about keeping it safe as it is doing the minimum required by law to make sure someone else is liable.

Sadly it is not even a point of awareness. When bringing it up, the first reaction is surprise. The second is disinterest.
