I firmly believe that an employer should pay for the medical expenses if they require a doctors note.
Sometimes I forget there are places where health insurance isn't universal and was a little confused reading your comment.
In the UK NHS GPs will make you pay £25 for a doctor's note
But you have health insurance through your employer, no?
No? I do work a minimum wage job though
