Forcing proof for medical leave is such bs.
Most people won’t abuse sick leave and if someone does start abusing it they will ultimately be unable to perform their job and need to go on either short or long term disability which will require proof.
Checking every minor issue is utterly dehumanizing and a waste of everyone’s time.
It's a way for them to semi-legally force you to not take your sick leave, because it's gonna always be a huge pain to get to your GP (or urgent care in the US, because your GP is booked solid for another two months) and get that doctor's note.
This is just so depressing. Like it’s just such a fuck you to people.
