TLDR: it's a spec bump for the processor and RAM. One question I personally had is does that mean the motherboard is backward compatible with the og FP6?

I respect it. But $650 is more than I'm willing to pay for a mobile device I'm guaranteed to drop numerous times.

I think I got my Pixel 4a for $300-400 years ago and it's still kicking ass. And I don't feel terrified when I drop it. Shave a couple hundo off this phone and I'll buy it.

I understand the pricing issue. But isn't "dropping numerous times and still keep working for years" the exact benefit and use case of a Fairphone?
