Came here to mention F.B. Purity too, it's pretty much the only thing that makes FB tolerable.
And yea, I only visit FB for some local community groups and pages, and to chat with family in Messenger. I only share articles on my profile maybe once a year, and stopped uploading photos sometime before the pandemic ๐ But sadly it's still the most mainstream social platform in Europe.
my family still uses Facebook Messenger, it's only the tech savvier people I hung out with on Telegram that I managed to switch to Signal ๐ฎโ๐จ
Very disturbing, it was the last straw to switch my chats (besides family) to Signal.
I had held onto Telegram for years because of their fun animated stickers, but yesterday discovered that Signal has those too, actually all sets from Telegram are available on unofficial Signal sticker sites, so now I'm all sorted ๐
A bunch of local groups in my area are only on Facebook, so I still visit every week or so.
